Order of the Arrow Elections

honor2.gifBoy Scout Troops can have one election each year to elect youth members into the OA. (Assistant Scoutmasters under the age of 21 are considered youth members for OA purposes).  Elections must be conducted by an active member of Memsochet Lodge who is knowledgeable of and qualified to conduct an OA election.  If you troop has no active OA members, that’s OK, Memsochet Lodge will be glad to assist you - just contact one of the Lodge officers or advisers.

Memsochet Lodge asks that elections take place between January 1st and May 15th so that the newly elected candidate has ample time to plan on attending the Ordeal weekend in June.  In order for an election to be held, at least 50% of your active youth members must be present – if less than 50% are present, the election must be rescheduled. Units are urged to schedule an OA election team from Memsochet Lodge to conduct the election, contact one of the Lodge officers or advisers.

CSR On YouTube

Recently, thanks to the help of Harrison Searles, Memsochet Lodge produced a promotional video for Chesterfield Scout Reservation.  Harrison did the editing and made the DVD.

Each unit in the Great Trails Council will get a copy as well as a number of Troops from out of council.

But you don't have to wait for your unit leader - the video is available on YouTube!

A New Look

Memsochet.org's home page has a new look!

Over the next few days, Memsochet.org will be undergoing changes in the look of the home page.  These changes are necessary in order to make it possible for different people to add updates.  Hopefully this will help make the site more manageable and more up to date.

If you have a suggestion for something you would like to see on the lodge web site, please let Al Parent, Warren Castonguay, or Bob Gunnells know.  We want to make this site as useful for the members of the lodge as possible, but we need your help.

Of course, all of Memsochet's normal content is still available from the regular menu on the left.

Have You Updated Your Info Lately?

If you haven't, why not take a few moments and do it now. You can follow the menu link on the left or click here for a simple form that will tell us about you. If members don't keep us informed and up to date with their current information, the Lodge can't keep the members informed. If were a member of the Lodge in years past, please respond to the update survey. The Lodge is trying to update the Lodge records and we don't have much information on past Arrowmen - especially prior to 1995
